As we enter the dark times on the wheel of the year, we are invited to enter the darkness of ourselves. Longer nights and fewer journeys mean that there is more time for dreaming...what messages are coming through in your dreams? Is there feedback for you from the spirit world, or are there parts of your self that are longing to speak? What do you hear as the earth grows more quiet? As we listen more carefully to the messages waiting for us we find ourselves remembering those who have passed on before us. Our dear ones who have left this earth are around us always, available for us to reach out to in times of need. But at this time of year, our energies and theirs can most easily connect and we can receive all the support, encouragement and wisdom that they have to share with us....if we're ready, if we ask. In the longer nights, hearthfires burned and stories of the past were shared. Lessons were passed on from old to young, and ancestors and traditions were illuminated in the tales that filled the evenings.
Withinsight's Samain Fire Circle will offer you the chance to unveil the blessings that you have received from your elders and guides. You will be invited to claim your own special brilliance that has been lying in wait, just as the colors of the leaves burst forth when the natural green fades away. Together with other women who are seeking the secrets of the dark, this gathering will celebrate the blessings of community, the strength of the web that is woven through interdependence. Come and embrace the magic of Samhain, with its tricks and its treats, and the pleasures of sharing our stories in the darkness, around the sacred fire.
To Bring: a low beach or camp chair, blanket, personal water bottle, a diced/minced vegetable or herb to contribute to a communal soup pot (details to follow), an open heart, a curious mind and a trusting spirit.
