Morning Moon
Diane Hasz/DancingStar – 2004

Each night I look for Her.
She finds me.
We chat.
I talk.
She listens.
Sometimes She answers.
Sometimes only hints.
Lately She asks questions.

Through the tall pines I saw Her,
She seemed to be hiding.
I said , "Good night" and slept.

Near dawn I awoke,
Saw Her dancing on the water.
Her slender light crossing the pond,
weaving Her way toward the shore
and into my window.

"Good Morning", She said.
"I am your morning Moon
I spin magick around the day.
I am the unexpected.
I am the extraordinary.
I am here to remind you
as the sun rises and I fade
I have kept you safe.
For as often as you petition me
to hold safely in my heart those you love,
I hold you".
My sleepy heart whispers..."Good Morning Moon"

Solstice Moon

Diane Hasz/DancingStar – 2005

My heart anticipates
The Wheel of the Year
 changes...
Turns

I spin
Dance in the New Winter light
Bare feet
 barely feeling the snow

Solstice Moon
waning,grounding
Wind Chimes make merry music
I am exuberant

I dance to the wind
Dance in the change
and again
Dancing with The Goddess
Dancing in the changes
Feeling the New, longer light
Dancing through the shadows

Dancing around foot prints
Some mine
Some squirrils
Some dogs
Some unknown
All intertwined

Solstice Moon
Never once
dancing alone!
We celebrate the
 Turn of the Wheel

And the Wheel turns

Revelation
Diane Hasz/DancingStar – 2002

She came to me the other night
I looked toward the stars.

She came to me as an owl
Who? she asked
I ignored her

She came as a falling leaf
I swept her away

She came as the wind
I bundled up against her

She came to me as a dream
I awoke forgetting the dream

She came to me as a song
Her music went unheard

She came to me as a stranger
She told me to look inward
I looked inward
then to the moon

The owl questioned
the wind played music
The leaves danced in my dream
She called my name
I saw Her face
At that moment I knew I could answer.

I am your Daughter.

Drum — Teach Me
Jane Glesne

Oh Drum, teach me flexibility, as with the Maples,
that bend and sway when the winds blow.

Oh Drum, teach me of cycles as I hold this supple, bent, wooden hoop.

Oh Drum, teach me respect as I slice into this gift from Horse.

Oh Drum, teach me to spiral inward as I cut lacing around and around to the center.

Oh Drum, teach me strength under tension as I position this ring of metal.

Oh Drum, teach me to stretch and to be flexible as I tug and pull at this softened hide.

Oh Drum, teach me patience as I lace together my intentions and desires into this hide.

Oh Drum, teach me of the void and waiting until the timing is right as I pause for my skin to dry.

Oh Drum, teach me of life and love as I drum the beat of my pulsating heart.

Oh Drum teach me of rhythms - music, moon, tide, bleeding time, crone, birth, death, rebirth.

Oh Drum, teach me of community and joy as I drum with companions.

Oh Drum, teach me of solitude, inner peace, and communion with spirit as I
DRUM! DRUM! DRUM! Drum… drum… drum…

Scales to Weigh
Diane Hasz/DancingStar – 1977
From a "book" I gave my parents
titled
Yours Truly

Actions
Alternatives
Decisions
Checks and balances
Wishes and needs
Apples and onions
Ounces and grams
are ounces and grams

Scales are sometimes sprung
off an action here
a wish there

My scales won't balance
Yet I keep on trying

The only action taken
Is the one of reweighing

again…again…again
