We are excited to announce our monthly gatherings of the Red Tent Temple at Withinsight's Temple Home in Monroe, CT. Each month, on or near the new moon, women are invited to come for a mini-retreat, where nothing is expected of you except excellent self-care.

Red Tent Temple gatherings are inspired by the Anita Diamant novel, "The Red Tent". The story describes how tribal women gathered during their menstruation to rest from their duties, to care for one another's comforts and to share the lore and wisdom of their people. Our Red Tent Temple is open to women of all ages, all faiths and all stages of their reproductive life. Women, young and old, with wombs or without, bleeding or not bleeding, are all welcome to come relax and share in a community of wise sisterhood.

The temple will be open during the specified time. Women may arrive and depart at any point in the day. Brief rituals for Opening and Closing will be held, and a formal Circle will take place for sharing and connecting. There will be soup and tea available, along with space for resting, journaling, storytelling, dancing. Women who choose to come in service may offer massage, reiki healing or other forms of care-taking. Donations are requested to support our advertising and outreach efforts, and gifts of vegetarian food, teas, art supplies, etc. are always welcomed.

Embrace this day to gather in sacred space, to honor your womanhood and your divine feminine energies, to celebrate with one another and to just BE!
